A poem by emerging Cortes Island poet and musician Josephine (Josie) Simpson is one of the 16 pieces of original writing selected for the second issue of Sea & Cedar magazine.
The poem, written in the second person, is about an evening near Dawson Creek and the historic Rolla Pub.
Sea & Cedar is published by the Vancouver Island Regional Library. The second edition was launched digitally on Tuesday, Feb. 22 and limited print copies will shortly be available through the library catalogue. The magazine plans to continue publishing twice yearly, having kicked the project off with its inaugural issue in summer 2021.
