There are 466 watershed in British Columbia. More than a quarter have problems with logging activities. The requirements to protect drinking water are not always clear or enforceable. In the interview that follows,  Hans Penner of the Elphinstone Logging Focus talks about logging Impacts in the Chapman Creek Watershed.

Logging Impacts in the Chapman Creek Watershed

The images in the slider above come from an Oct 6-9, 2014, logging protest in the Chapman Creek Watershed, on the Sunshine Coast. Hans Penner of the Elphinstone Logging Focus (ELF), is the fellow in the white hat. After a three day blockade, the logging company agreed to shut down operations.

We talked about how logging within a watershed effects drinking and  the need to conserve what is left of BC’s natural and old growth forests.
