In January of this year, the Cortes Community Health Association advertised for a new Teen Szene coordinator, or “someone passionate about investing in the lives of teenagers on Cortes Island.” The successful candidate, Kim Lotnick, is excited about the plans she has for the remainder of the year for this teen program.

Kim has already organized and hosted a teen pizza and movie night with several teens joining in for the event.

Upcoming is a Bocci Ball practice game and later a tournament, along with a 2-night kayak trip, all happening between now and the end of June.

Teen Szene has been offering programming to local Cortes Island youth 13 to 17 years old for the past 14 years.
