Doll and his family moved to Quadra island in 2017, leaving city life for a rural lifestyle. They operate a 40 acre mixed farm based on sustainable agriculture practices. The former school teacher and realtor has been active in community organizations and politics since he was a teenager and feels he can bring his experience and skills to “empower community,” as his campaign slogan states.
He sees potential to bringing diverse community groups together to find common ground and to apply for available resources to affect change where needed, especially when concerning affordable housing and climate change.
BC voters go to the polls on Oct. 15 to elect municipal governments.
