Not flying to Campbell River

Coast Mountain Air Not Flying To Campbell River (Yet)

In a previous article, I wrote Central Mountain Air will resume daily service to and from Vancouver as of Monday, June 8. This statement was based on a previous notice on their website and the fact their booking page listed three flights arriving at and leaving Campbell River that day. This has changed. The airline’s launch date is now July 6th and Coast Mountain Air is not flying to Campbell River.

The only airline using the Campbell River Airport is Pacific Coastal Airlines, which offers flights to and from Vancouver on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Gradually Returning To Service

A notice on the Coast Mountain Air website states:

… We are excited to announce we will be returning to begin re-connecting communities on July 6th, 2020. Our initial return to schedule service will run through August 8th. Over the coming months, our schedule will responsibly and gradually return, as we continue to navigate our way through these unprecedented times. We look forward to providing travel and cargo operations that are essential and will enable re-opening of our economy, as well as connect you to friends and loved ones. Our initial return to scheduled service is modest, influenced by customer demand, PHAC guidelines, and government travel regulations. Our number one priority is your safety.”

Not Flying To Campbell River

Prince George, Kelowna, Kamloops, Terrace and Fort St. John are all listed as destinations, but not Campbell River.

This could change in the months to come.
