The City of Campbell River announced that it will be re-opening the Sportsplex weight room with limited access starting June 22. Plans to re-open outdoor fitness classes are also in progress.
Campbell River Airport (YBL) welcomed its first flight after commercial service resumed at the airport. Nine passengers landed on June 2, at YBL airport in the morning on Pacific Coastal flight 715 that arrived from Vancouver.
In a previous article, I wrote Central Mountain Air will resume daily service to and from Vancouver as of Monday, June 8. This statement was based on a previous notice on their website and the fact their booking page listed three flights arriving at and leaving Campbell River that day. This has changed. The airline’s launch date is now July 6th and Coast Mountain Air is not flying to Campbell River.
