The Anti-Chinese Dumping Duties Stand

The Anti-Chinese Dumping Duties stand. The US International Trade Commission upheld the US Department of Commerce’s Decision, from December 16, by 5-0 vote for China, and  4-1 with regard to Taiwan.  Anti-dumping duty rates of 52.13% and anti-subsidy rates of 38.72% will be imposed on most solar panels imported from China. Anti-dumping rates of 19.50% will be imposed on most solar cells from Taiwan, regardless of where the panels are assembled into panels.

NEB Says Kinder Morgan Does Not have to Answer

The NEB says Kinder Morgan Does not have to answer British Columbia’s questions about responding to an oil spill.  The province’s motion concerning redactions to the Emergency Management Program (EMP) documents because “sufficient information has been filed from the existing EMP documents to meet the Board’s requirements at this stage of the process”.

The New Renewable is Recycled Energy Technologies

By 2016, twenty percent of the energy Xcel Energy is feeding into Colorado’s grid will have to come from renewables. The state’s Public Utilities Commission ruled that up to 20 MW per year of this can come from industrial facilities that convert waste heat to power. The new renewable is recycled energy technologies.

Grace Islet’s Salvation Is In Sight

Grace Islet’s Salvation is in sight. Steve Thomson, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource, announced the Province is partnering with local First Nations and the Nature Conservancy of Canada to preserve the First Nations burial site.  Though negotiations with the owner have not concluded, many are are celebrating a victory.
