It Is Time Canada Cleaned Up Its’ Emissions

Screen-shot-2014-03-18-at-3.43.47-PMTom Mulcair just announced his plan “to restore Canada’s environmental credibility at home and around the world by putting a price on carbon, making polluters pay and taking meaningful steps to reduce carbon emissions.” Mulcair is right, it is time Canada cleaned up its’ emissions.

Renewables Supplied 32.9% of the EU’s Electricity

A combination of milder winters, advances in  energy efficiency and some industry  relocations have brought the numbers down. It is against this background that the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) point to the marked growth of  wind and solar energy. According to their report Electricity in Europe 2014, renewables supplied 32.9% of the EU’s electricity.
