Campbell River trial run of new Island Class hybrid-electric vessels

One of BC Ferries new Island Class Hybrid electric vessels starts a three day trial run on the Campbell River – Quadra Island route on Thursday, Dec 3. The Island Aurora will undergoing tests for operational efficiencies, loading times and sailing intervals. The results will be used to help draw up schedules for 2021.

British Columbia saw a new daily record for COVID-19 cases yesterday, with an additional 911 people testing positive. According to the British Columbia COVID 19 Dashboard there are now 8,472 active cases in the province.

Noba Anderson vs SRD not heard last week

Noba Anderson vs the SRD was not heard last week. Though the suit was scheduled for the assize week starting November 23, 2020, the courts are dealing with such a heavy backlog of cases that it now seems possible the hearing will not take place until January, 2021.

Frequency of bear raids decreasing in Squirrel Cove
