The Lip Sync Video

By Howie Roman

Rick Bockner, Immanuel McKenty and I have spent a year and a half working on this. Rick and I spent 18 months looking at over 30 hours of Lip Sync that Immanuel digitalised for us. Rick Bockner: Returning onstage with the CKTZ Lip Sync

Editor’s Note: This event did not occur. After 14 years of ongoing successes, Cortes Island’s Lip Syncs came to an end.

On February 25th, Rick Bockner will be returning to the stage at Mansons Hall, as MC of the CKTZ Lip Sync.

“It is without a doubt, one of the highlights that I would point to in my time on Cortes. I just love it when  that many people get involved in something. It’s about 30 nowadays, performers and crew.”

This year we have 18 families residing on the Gorge Harbour Marina Resort property; most of these people are here because they cannot find a place to live. Some of these people have lived on Cortes Island for years, built a life here, have friends and children here… but now find themselves with no place to stay on a permanent basis .
